Promoting the participation of young professionals in the consulting engineering industry's activities through the creation
of opportunities to exchange opinions, concerns, and visions, with an eventual revitalization
of the whole of FIDIC, are vital issues. The FIDIC Young Professionals Forum (YPF) provides opportunities for an exchange of opinions and a sharing of information between young engineers. The forum reports
summaries of inputs to the FIDIC Executive Committee, together with proposals for
action. Priorities are: - Organize a workshop at the FIDIC 2007 Singapore Conference. - Develop a YPF newsletter, and distribute it to YP groups in Member Associations. - Monitor and encourage discussion and use of the online Net Forum. - Contact YP Member Associations groups and coordinate with active groups. - Coordinate YP-related events at the FIDIC 2007 Singapore Conference. - Encourage funding of the Young Professionals Management Training Programme. - Encourage Member Associations to consider starting YP programmes |
