14.00 - 17.00: Afternoon bus tour of Lausanne and Montreux
(SFR 40)
Take a sightseeing round-trip from Montreux to Lausanne via the Route du Lac and the
Corniche. Taste the local wine in a winegrower’s cellar.

Monday, September 3
- 11.30 - 16.00:
Guided day bus tour to Gruyères (SFR 80)
Set in an Alpine valley, this beautiful historic town is world famous for its cheese, boutiques and craft shops. Lunch on a typical café terrace and visit an 11th century medieval castle.

19.00 - 24.00: Dinner-Dance Cruise on Lake Geneva. Boat leaves at 19.00,
returns to the quai at 22.00; you can remain onbaord dancing until midnight
(SFR 100).
Tuesday, September 4

10.00 - 17.00: Day bus
tour to the Pierre Gianadda Foundation, Martigny, a renowned cultural
centre, built on the oldest known Gallo-Roman site in Switzerland, offers permanent exhibitions of painting, archeological remains and vintage cars. Guided tour of the exhibitions; lunch in the Foundation’s sculpture
garden (SFR 80).

10.00 - 17.00: Day bus tour of Lausanne and
the unique and interactive living Olympic Museum traces the history of the Olympic Games from their roots in Ancient Greece to modern times. After lunch, a guided sightseeing tour of Lausanne and the surrounding
region (SFR 80).

- 22.00: Evening concert in Chillion Castle, including cocktails and
transport from thr Montreux palace Hotel (SFR 100).
Wednesday, September 5

10.00 - 17.00: Same day tours as Tuesday, so that relatively few participants visit the same venue at the same time. If your favourite option is overbooked on Tuesday you will be placed on the next day tour.

Unforgettable post-conference train and bus tours through the heart of the Alps will highlight Switzerland’s cultural and technical achievements, including the massive AlpTransit Gotthard and Lötschberg north-south trans-Alpine rail tunnels.

AlpTransit Gotthard: led by Ernst and Liselotte
Hofmann, will take in St. Moritz, Lugano, Poschiavo in Italy and the AlpTransit construction site at
Sedrun.
07.30 departure from Montreux hotels; ends in Zurich
at 17.30 on Monday evening, with optional dinner, a reserved hotel room,
and breakfast on Tuesday morning (SFR 1600 per person, double room;
SFR 1800 per person, single room).

Perrochon, will take in Zermatt, Interlaken and the AlpTransit construction site at
Raron.
