The FIDIC 2001 Montreux Post-Conference Tours are personalized tours, planned and led by Jean and Sylvia Perrochon (AlpTransit Lötschberg) and by Ernst and Liselotte Hofmann (AlpTransit Gotthard). Jean is the Past-President of FIDIC's Swiss Member Association (formerly called ASIC), who planned and led the 1981 FIDIC Conference in Bern, and who planned and led the Post-Conference Tour to Zermatt after the Lausanne 1981 FIDIC Conference. Ernst is a Past President of FIDIC, who planned and led the Post-Conference Tour to St. Moritz after the Lausanne 1987 FIDIC Conference.

The highlight of both of these tours will be the respective visits to the separate AlpTransit tunnel projects at Raron and Sedrun. These are world-class tunnel projects, designed to provide sustainable, low-pollution, rail transport through the Alps. These projects are not open to public visits, so you have a unique opportunity to combine a "state-of-the-art" technical site visit with a spectacular personalized tour of the Alps.

We are indebted to the Perrochons and Hofmanns for planning and leading these Swiss-hosted tours, on behalf of USIC and FIDIC.

Please register early for these tours. In case of over-demand, which we will make every effort to satisfy, places on the tours will be allotted on a "first-come-first-served basis".
