ACAPULCO

The name of Acapulco evokes the image of paradise in the Pacific and a place where nature and the ocean are found. A romantic "old city" with first-class restaurants, shops and hotels that have forged an international prestige in a recreational atmosphere, Acapulco always leaves great memories among its visitors. The city offers a warm climate, fresh breezes and a sky full of sunshine. Its bay beaches, lagoons, museums and ocean offer various entertainment alternatives for a pleasant stay, integration with nature, and the enjoyment of Acapulco's tradition and modern lifestyle.

Climate

October marks the end of the rainy season in Acapulco and sunny days are expected with high/low temperatures of 32/22 degrees Celsius.

Travel and Transportation

A 30-minute flight from Mexico City will take you to Acapulco. Daily non-stop flights arrive to Mexico City from Europe, Canada and both the east and west coasts of the United States. The Conference venue is located 10 minutes by car from the Acapulco airport.

Language

English will be the official conference language.

Recommended Dress

Conference Sessions, Welcome Reception, Local Colour Night: Casual dress.

Tours: Casual dress and comfortable shoes.

Gala Banquet (outdoors): During evening events on the Mexican coast, the gala dress for men is a "guayabera" (long-sleeved white linen shirt), used by locals and foreigners alike. National dress and black-tie (optional).
