Acapulco City Tour
Accompanied by English-speaking guides, this tour offers the ideal opportunity to enjoy Acapulco’s main attractions, including the world famous Acapulco Bay, the 17th century Spanish Fort, the courageous “sea cliff divers” and “Old Acapulco”.

Welcome Reception at the "Princess Hotel"
Participants and accompanying persons are invited to join the welcome reception in the grounds of the Princess Hotel for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and entertainment. First-time participants are invited to arrive at 18.30.

Accompanying Person's Luncheon
Explore Mexico’s past with an exciting presentation that includes slides and commentaries on pre-Hispanic cultures, Maya, Azteca, Olmeca, among others. This will introduce you to our mystical and amazing world. Lunch will be served at the hotel.

Local Colour Night, El Fuerte de San Diego"
After a welcome cocktail and music in the Plaza de Armas guests will visit El Fuerte de San Diego, which was once a garrison for Spanish conquistadors. Dinner will follow on the terrace of this historic 17th century building, where regional music and dances will complement a spectacular view by night of Acapulco Bay.

Cultural tour
The interior of El Fuerte de San Diego has been redesigned as a fascinating museum of history and anthropology. Many rare art pieces dating back to the founding of Acapulco and the Nao of China period are on display, including pre-Hispanic artifacts, relics of Acapulco’s settlement and evangelisation, and objects illustrating the port’s long history of trade with the Far East. You may also admire one of Diego Rivera’s murals, and photograph several outstanding views of Acapulco Bay. On the way back to the hotel you will make a stop at the Casa de la Cultura where you may shop for, or simply admire, handicrafts.

Oceanfront Estates in Acapulco
The worldwide famous ocean-front villas located in one of Acapulco’s most exclusive residential areas command breathtaking views of the bay. Explore some of these architectural masterpieces, and learn about Mexican cooking from a famed local chef. The tour ends with a sumptuous lunch. 
 

18:30 – 23:00

Night boat cruise
Admire the sunset while cruising the deep waters of Acapulco Bay. Sample a delicious dinner that combines Mexican and international cuisine surrounded by fabulous views of the bay. Enjoy live music played by tropical bands and practice your Latin dancing.

Dinner and Acapulco by night (on your own)
Be sure to save some time to experience Acapulco’s world famous restaurants and nightlife. Recommendations for this unique experience will be provided in your registration package.

On your own
Swim, play golf or tennis, relax, shop or acquire a suntan. Take some time to enjoy the superb facilities at the Fairmont Acapulco Princess and the Fairmont Pierre Marqués with their five swimming pools, a never-ending beach, championship golf courses, water sports, fishing and indoor/outdoor tennis courts.

Women of Mexico
Explore the culture and education of Mexican women with talks on the role of women in facing both deep-rooted traditions and modern challenges. Following this presentation at the Fairmont Acapulco Princess you will learn about the rebozo that you may like to wear during tonight’s fiesta.

FIDIC fiesta gala banquet
Join us for a farewell evening with true Mexican style. A Mexican fiesta in the Acapulco’s seashore will set  the stage for a hasta la vista in honour of our guests. Music will accompany cocktails and a delicious Mexican buffet.

Golf in Acapulco
Allow yourself some time to enjoy two of the most scenic and challenging golf courses in all Mexico: the Princess course, meandering through tropical forests and around blue lagoons, or the more challenging course at the nearby Pierre Marques.

Thursday, October 3
Depart from the hotel for Acapulco airport and fly to Merida via Mexico City. On arrival, take a panoramic bus tour around “white Merida”, home of turn-of-the-century palaces. In the evening, visit the Santa Lucía Plaza where you will enjoy music by famous Yucatan trovadores.

Friday, October 4
During the morning enjoy the city on your own. Depart to Uxmal (9th century) to enjoy one of the finest expressions of Mayan architecture. Visit the unique Pyramid of the Magician, the Nunnery, the Ball Game and the Governor's Palace. After dinner enjoy the archeological site’s splendid “light and sound” show.

Saturday, October 5
Departure for Chichén Itzá, Mexico's most famous Mayan archeological site. Visit the largest ball court in Meso-America, the magnificent stone sculptures and the famous El Castillo pyramid. Continue by bus to Cancun, after stopping at Dzitnup’s cenote.

Sunday, October 6
Experience the opportunity to combine history, archaeology, fun and leisure in one day. In the morning visit Tulum, the largest Mayan ceremonial site built on the seacoast. Afterwards visit Xcaret, a renowned ecological and cultural park on the Caribbean shore.

Monday, October 7
Transfer from the hotel to the Cancun airport.

Thursday, October 3

Bus transfer from the hotel to Taxco. This city is well know for beautiful colonial architecture and silver products. Visit the town’s main square, the Cathedral of Santa Prisca and buy some handicrafts from the silversmiths. Continue on to Mexico City. 

Friday, October 4
Visit Teotihuacan, one of the largest urban centres of the pre-Hispanic world. Tour the pyramids of the Sun and of the Moon, the Feathered Serpent Pyramid and the Avenue of the Dead. Continue to La Basilica, the shrine of our Lady of Guadalupe and the most revered Catholic site in America.

Saturday, October 5
The tour begins with a visit to the Bazar del Sábado, famous for its Mexican handicrafts and beautiful paintings. Continue to Coyoacan, a suburb of Mexico City that retains its provincial flavour. Visit the house of Frida Kahlo and the temple of San Juan Bautista.

Sunday, October 6
Tour the Main Square at the historic centre of Mexico City - the Templo Mayor, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the National Palace and the Fine Arts Palace. Continue your visit to the floating gardens of Xochimilco.

Monday, October 7
Transfer from the hotel to the airport.

Thursday, October 3

Transfer from the hotel to Acapulco airport for a flight to Oaxaca with a connection in Mexico City. Oaxaca has been declared by UNESCO as part of humanity’s cultural patrimony. It owes its fame to the beauty and harmony of its architecture, and the richness of its traditions. Enjoy the Guelaguetza, the most traditional festival of Oaxaca, a vortex of music, movement and color.

Friday, October 4
Visit the popular arts of Oaxaca. In the morning visit Santo Tomás Jalietza, a town known for its blankets and shawls woven with "waist looms”. Continue to San Martín Tilcajete and San Bartolo Coyotepec, famous for its black clay pottery. Finish the day at Monte Albán, one of the largest Meso-American cities and the capital of the Zapotec nation. 

Saturday, October 5
Visit the monastery at Tlacochahuaya (16th century). Continue to the archaeological site of Mitla whose main attraction is the rich ornamentation of its buildings. On the return to Oaxaca stop at the church and museum of Santo Domingo.

Sunday, October 6
Transfer from the hotel to the airport and return to Mexico City.
