| Project Sustainability Management Services: a new business imperative |
|
The FIDIC Project Sustainability Management Capacity Building Seminars have been prepared to assist firms and individual professionals in implementing project sustainability in everyday business practice. To stay profitable in business, consultants and their clients need to keep up with the latest trends. Project Sustainability Management Services: A New Business Imperative is a one- or two-day programme that will provide consultants and clients with in-depth knowledge of how to implement profitable sustainability services in their firms. The seminar will lead attendees through a general awareness of sustainability as a global issue to an in-depth knowledge of how to implement profitable sustainability services in firms and in projects. Presentations are made by internationally-recognised industry leaders. |

The Seminar will centre on FIDIC’s Project Sustainability Management Guidelines
(www.p-s-m.net) and will focus on the four main themes which are of practical relevance to service firms and related professionals, namely: - stakeholder relations and partnerships; - credibility, transparency and accountability; - sustainable business environment; and - sustainable business practice. The seminar address each of these themes on two levels: - background information; and - guiding principles Case histories that the participants work through to facilitate a deeper appreciation for the Project Sustainability Management will also be extensively used as demonstration material. |

| The seminar leaders are highly qualified in their experience of the
FIDIC contracts and are authors of publications on the contract conditions.
John Boyd, Vice-President of FIDIC and a member of the FIDIC Executive Committee responsible for sustainability, John brings thirty years' experience as a senior leader in the consulting industry to this issue. John is also past President of Golder Associates Ltd, and past Vice-President of Golder Associates Corp. William Wallace, a former senior Vice President of CH2M HILL, Bill is the Chairman of FIDIC’s Sustainable Development Task Force (information) and the author of a book on sustainable development for the ACEC-US called Becoming Part of the Solution - The Engineer’s Guide to Sustainable Development (information). |
