| FIDIC International
Training Programme |
The FIDIC International
Training Programme has two components, international training events
organized by FIDIC and in-house training events.

| International
Training Events |
FIDIC organizes training
courses, workshops and seminars with other organizations and with FIDIC
Member Associations. Organizations wishing to
organize a training course in association with FIDIC are asked to
complete a Request for Information form (RTF). Courses of 1-3 days can be organized in topics ranging from
contracts, dispute resolution (covered in the FIDIC Contacts and
Agreements Training Manual) procurement and tendering through to
all the aspects of business practice covered in the FIDIC Guide to
Practice Training Manual, see capacity building materials.

| In-House
Training Events |
Organizations wishing to
organize an in-house FIDIC training events are asked to contact FIDIC.
Courses, workshops and seminars of 1-3 days can be organized in topics ranging from contracts,
dispute resolution (covered in the FIDIC Contacts and Agreements
Training Manual) procurement and tendering through to
all the aspects of business practice covered in the FIDIC Guide to
Practice Training Manual, see capacity building materials.
The in-house training events are offered either in partnership with training
organizations or organized by FIDIC Events through the FIDIC
Secretariat using FIDIC Experts (using a FIDIC Expert for
FIDIC recognized in-house training confers certain advantages - see Guidelines in PDF).
Please contact FIDIC Events at fidic@fidic.org for information. Typical
courses take one or two days, in English with other languages
available, and translators can be arranged in necessary. Seminars
generally last one-day and workshops two days.
Participants taking part in a FIDIC in-house training event
receive a certificate of attendance, issued by FIDIC. Programmes that are available are
given by the modules listed above.

FIDIC organizes a Capacity
Development Programme that includes several components.

| Young Professionals
Management Training Programme |
FIDIC organizes each year a
management training programme for young professionals that is supplied
by the training organization DIEU. The next programme starts in
February 2009 and ends at the FIDIC 2009 Annual Conference (London,
September 2008). Further information and registration (both offline

Training Centers and Programmes |
| FIDIC-Tsinghua University-CNEAC (FTC) Regional Training Centre |
| Agreement to create the
FIDIC - Tsinghua - CNAEC Training Centre for programme
and project management for postgraduates, with a main
focus on FIDIC Conditions of Contract, was signed on 29
April 2001 (News item). The first training course took place in the
winter of 2001/2 following an introductory course in
October 2001. The next course took place (on urban
sustainability management) is in May 2002 in Shanghai.
Courses are planned for l2006. Postgraduate and
professional development. |

| FIDIC-KAIST-KENCA (FKK) Regional Training Centre |
| An agreement was signed in
Seoul on 13 March 2003, for a three-year
agreement-in-principle to form, in partnership with the
Korea Engineering and Consulting Association (KENCA), a
joint regional FIDIC-KAIST-KENCA (FKK) Training Centre
for postgraduates based at the Korea Advanced Institute
of Science and Technology (KAIST) campus in Seoul. The first courses will be held at the end
of 2003. |

| FIDIC-Jordan Training
Programme |
| The Engineering Training Centre, Amman,
Jordan, entered into an agreement with FIDIC in 2006 to organize the FIDIC-Jordan
Training Programme (PDF)
comprising training courses based on the
modules of the FIDIC Guide to Practice Training Manual and the FIDIC
Contracts Manual. Courses started in 2007 and a regular series of
some six two-day courses are organized each year. The ETC is
operated by the Jordan Engineers Association (JEA)
and the FIDIC courses organized by the centre are organized under the
auspices of the Jordan Architects and Consulting Engineers Council (JACEC)
that groups the JJEA and the Architects and Engineers Business Council
(AEBC).

| National Capacity Building Development Programmes |
FIDIC launched a programme
of seminary in 2005 to enable national Member Associations to develop
a capacity building programme. The first event was in Tehran in June 2005.
A recommended programme for a one-day seminar is available Word.
Capacity development seminars have been held in Iran, Malaysia, Tanzania
and Syria.
